We are now looking for a Sr. Engineer / Engineer in Process Engineering & Production to strengthen our manufacturing and production engineering capabilities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for heavy fabrication and welding.
- Plan and implement welding process standards, including process qualification and validation.
- Conduct welding testing (destructive and non-destructive) and ensure process compliance.
- Monitor and resolve welding defects, applying root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support shopfloor teams in process improvements, fixture utilization, and cycle time reduction.
- Prepare and update process documentation, SOPs, and quality records in line with standards.
- Collaborate with NPD, Quality, and Production teams to ensure manufacturability of new parts.
- Drive continuous improvement for safety, productivity, and cost optimization.
- Provide technical support during customer audits and production reviews.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 46 years of experience in process engineering, welding, or heavy fabrication.
- In-depth knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, spot, arc) and testing methods.
- Practical understanding of welding defects and corrective measures.
- Strong knowledge of heavy fabrication part manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with production engineering improvements and process validation.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, and customer-specific standards.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to coordinate between teams and present technical findings.
