Job Description

Responsibilities

● Designing power distribution and motor-drive power stages, including gate drivers, current sensing, protection circuitry, H-bridge, and inverter stages.

● Developing sensor interface boards for resolver, encoder, LVDT-class, and other analog/digital sensor signals, including signal conditioning.

● Implementing supervised discrete-line circuitry in accordance with interface control document (ICD) requirements.

● Owning end-to-end schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium or KiCad, from initial concept through fabrication-ready design.

● Designing hardware with practical EMI/EMC considerations and supporting boards through compliance testing, preferably against MIL-STD-461 or equivalent standards.

● Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot hardware, resolve interface challenges, and ensure reliable integration of electrical and electronic systems.

● Applying disciplined power and mixed-signal PCB layout practices to achieve robust, reliable, and manufacturable hardware designs.

Qualifications

● Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline, with 4–8 years of relevant hands-on experience.

● Strong expertise in power electronics, including gate-driver design, current sensing, protection circuitry, H-bridge, and inverter-based motor-drive systems.

● Hands-on experience with analog signal conditioning and sensor interfaces, particularly resolver, encoder, and LVDT-class signals.

● Practical experience in EMI/EMC design and compliance, preferably with MIL-STD-461; automotive or industrial EMC experience will also be considered.

● Strong proficiency in Altium or KiCad, with hands-on experience in schematic capture and PCB layout for power and mixed-signal boards.

● Experience working with ICD-driven or interface-controlled discrete I/O circuitry.

● Background in defence, aerospace, automotive, or industrial electronics is preferred.

● Strong problem-solving, communication, attention-to-detail, and hands-on engineering skills, with the ability to take ownership of hardware development from concept through fabrication.
