Job Description

The Senior Onshore Pipeline Engineer will work within the pipeline design team to ensure the integrity of onshore pipeline designs while managing project execution. The role involves technical oversight, preparation, and review of engineering deliverables for pipeline projects, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain technical competence in pipeline engineering and pursue continuous professional development.
  • Design and review metallic and non-metallic pipelines in compliance with international codes.
  • Prepare and check FEED and Detailed Design Pipeline scopes and deliverables.
  • Conduct and review pipeline mechanical calculations.
  • Prepare and verify pipeline specialty item specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, and TBEs, including scrapper launchers, receivers, barred tees, valves, induction bends, and corrosion coupons.
  • Prepare and check pipeline construction specifications, external coatings, FJC, and SOW for construction.
  • Prepare and review pipeline drawings, including alignment sheets, route maps, crossing drawings, approach drawings, isometrics, and field area layouts.
  • Review pipeline survey scope, schematic diagrams, and crossing matrices.
  • Prepare and check pipeline material take-offs and specifications.
  • Conduct and verify pipeline stress analysis reports using CAESAR II and AutoPipe.
  • Manage vendor documents for specialty items and ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Review and prepare pipeline-related technical reports such as route selection and valve station locations.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Civil/Marine/Related Engineering discipline.
  • 12+ years of experience in feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design, and EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Pipeline Basis of Design, alignment sheets, material grade & wall thickness calculations, valve datasheets, corrosion control plans, stress analysis reports, and area classification studies.
  • Knowledge of pipeline codes, standards, EPC project execution, and technical evaluation of vendors for pipeline ancillaries and equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CAESAR II, AutoPipe, AutoCAD, and MathCAD.
