Job Title: Network Engineer L2 - Network Operations
Role OverviewThe Network Engineer L2 is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organizations network infrastructure. This includes managing firewalls, switches, ISPs, Zscaler, Wi-Fi, and troubleshooting network issues to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
Key Responsibilities- Network Management: Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, and overall network performance.
- Firewall Administration: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls to ensure secure access.
- Switches Configuration: Handle installation, configuration, and maintenance of network switches.
- ISP Coordination: Manage relationships with Internet Service Providers, ensuring uptime and resolving connectivity issues.
- Zscaler Support: Administer Zscaler cloud security services for secure web access.
- Wi-Fi Management: Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot wireless networks across the organization.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve escalated network issues within agreed SLAs.
- Documentation: Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, and incident logs.
- Collaboration: Work with IT security and infrastructure teams for advanced problem resolution and projects.
Skills & Qualifications- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
- Experience with Zscaler, Cisco/Aruba/Forti switches, and enterprise Wi-Fi solutions.
- Familiarity with ISP management and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Good understanding of network security principles.
- 2 - 4 years of network support/administration experience preferred.
