Description
The Senior Engineer will be responsible for supervising, mentoring & supporting junior designers and for ensuring technical accuracy. This role requires strong hands-on experience in OpenRoads Designer (ORD), Civil 3D, MicroStation and AutoCAD. Familiarity with International Highway Design Standard such as TAC, AASHTO, DMRB is required.
Responsibilities
- Delivering projects within agreed time schedules and budgets.
- Leading a small team and supporting overall project delivery.
- Coordinating with clients and stakeholders based in Canada, the US, the UK, and the Middle East, with a strong client-focused approach.
- Demonstrating strong technical expertise and consistent client satisfaction in highway and bridge projects.
- Adapting to different cultures and global working environments to build strong professional relationships.
- Maintaining effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Transportation Engineering from a well-recognized institute.
- Around 8 to 12 years of experience in a consultancy environment, primarily working on highway projects and related infrastructure.
- Experience in applying and maintaining quality systems and design procedures.
Technical Skills
- International highway design standards such as TAC, AASHTO, and DMRB.
- Advanced expertise in Civil 3D / OpenRoads Designer and working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Experience in the design of grade-separated junctions.
- Experience in designing stormwater and pipe drainage networks.
- Working knowledge of Canadian highway design standards.
- Proficient in all major MS Office applications
Soft Skills
- Good spoken and written communication skills in English (knowledge of French is an added advantage)
- Working independently with minimal supervision
