Key Responsibilities
Geotechnical Investigation & Design Analysis
Interpret geotechnical and geological investigation reports and derive relevant design parameters. Perform soil-structure interaction modelling, validation, and advanced geotechnical analysis for infrastructure projects.
Ground Engineering Design Development
Design slope stability systems, settlement analysis, preloading embankments, excavation support systems, and ground improvement solutions. Develop designs for secant piles, sheet piles, soldier piles, and earth retention systems.
Urban & Risk Assessment Studies
Perform ground movement prediction, settlement analysis, and risk assessment for urban infrastructure structures. Ensure safe and optimized design solutions for complex urban environments.
Instrumentation & Monitoring
Develop instrumentation and monitoring schemes, review field data, and assess performance against design expectations.
Engineering Deliverables Preparation
Prepare geotechnical design reports, technical calculations, drawings, and quantity estimations. Ensure completeness and accuracy of all design deliverables.
Standards & Code Compliance
Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards, and other relevant international geotechnical design standards.
Software-Based Engineering Analysis
Perform geotechnical modelling and simulations using tools such as Civil 3D, PLAXIS 2D/3D, Slide2, GeoCalc, Mathcad, Novapoint, and 3D Win.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, and global offices. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing
Guide junior engineers, support team capability development, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the geotechnical team.
Quality & Project Delivery
Ensure high-quality engineering output aligned with project timelines, client expectations, and organizational standards.
