Job Description

As our new Senior Geotechnical Engineer for REC Ground Engineering team you will be part of world class, innovation driven engineering design centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a centre for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions for Finland based projects.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Interpretations of Geotechnical Investigation Reports and use of appropriate geotechnical/geological design parameters
  • Soil Structural Interaction Analysis Modeling and Validation
  • Slope Stability, Settlement, Pre-Loading Embankment, Support Excavation Systems and Ground Improvement Design
  • Design of Secant piles, Sheet piles and Soldier piles
  • Ground movement, Settlement Prediction and Risk Assessments for Urban Structures
  • Instrumentation and Monitoring Scheme Proposals and Data Reviewing
  • Preparation of the geotechnical design report, finalization of geotechnical drawings, and quantity calculations.
  • Build effective collaboration with other Ramboll Geotech units and mentor team members.

Qualifications

  • Must possess 6 to 9 years hands-on design experience including in the Geotechnical design of heavy civil structures Foundations, Marine, Earth retention system analysis, Ground improvement and slopes.
  • Experience with the European design code (Euro codes)/ British Codes (BS) will be added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3d, Geocalc, Slide 2, Mathcad, Plaxis 2D, Plaxis 3D, Novapoint, 3D win
  • Excellent command of the English Language with proven report writing skills.
  • Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Should be a good team member and should coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of project.
  • Key qualities for success in this role include the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team, a commitment to collective growth, and a readiness to mentor colleagues in support of overall team development.
