We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Electrical to be responsible for developing electrical designs, drawings, and Bills of Materials for industrial machinery. You will participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept and design to installation and troubleshooting. This role requires hands-on experience with a variety of electrical components and a strong understanding of industry standards, particularly in the printing and packaging sectors.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical designs, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) based on customer requirements.
- Participate in concept, detailed design, production, testing, safety, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting reviews with customers.
- Create and update functional specifications, assembly, and installation instructions for machines.
- Perform calculations and selection of PLC, Drives, HMI, and AC Load calculations.
- Prepare single and three-line diagrams, panel IGA & OGA drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Work with industrial control and protection schemes for electrical distribution systems, motor controls, and electrical systems.
- Replace obsolete electrical parts while maintaining the form, fit, and function of the existing design.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in the use of design software like Promise, AdeptE, and AutoCAD.
- Experience in calculation and selection of PLC, Drives, HMI, AC Load calculations, low voltage switchgear systems, protective devices, and relays.
- Hands-on experience in the preparation of various electrical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of UL508A, ANSI, IEC, and other relevant standards.
- Experience with B&R and Allen Bradley PLC, Servo drives, HMI, and Yaskawa Drives is preferable.
- Knowledge of materials, components, and equipment used in all aspects of electrical machines.
- Experience in industrial machinery/equipment, with a preference for printing and packaging machines.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
