Job Description — Senior DevOps Engineer
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven
Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that power our cloud-hosted, multi-tenant SaaS and ERP solutions. You will work closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps with YAML-based pipeline configurations.
- Manage and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Oversee container orchestration using Kubernetes, including deployments, scaling, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Support and optimize multi-tenant SaaS and ERP application infrastructure hosted on the cloud.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability using tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.
- Manage Azure cloud resources including Virtual Networks, Key Vault, Container Registry, Storage, and App Services.
- Drive security best practices — secrets management, role-based access control (RBAC), network policies, and vulnerability scanning.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment strategies including blue-green deployments, canary releases, and rolling updates.
- Establish and enforce branching strategies, release management, and environment promotion processes.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-mortem processes for production issues.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and promote a culture of continuous improvement and automation.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps — Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, and Test Plans.
- Proficiency in writing and maintaining YAML-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes and AKS — cluster setup, Helm charts, ingress controllers, and resource management.
- Experience managing multi-tenant SaaS or ERP applications in cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services — AKS, ACR, Azure Key Vault, VNet, NSG, Load Balancers, and Azure AD.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with container technologies — Docker, image optimization, and registry management.
- Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools such as Flux or ArgoCD.
- Understanding of networking concepts — DNS, SSL/TLS, load balancing, and service mesh (Istio/Linkerd).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices — SAST, DAST, container scanning, and compliance automation.
Good to Have
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments (AWS, GCP alongside Azure).
- Knowledge of service mesh architectures (Istio, Linkerd).
- Exposure to ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with cost optimization strategies for cloud-hosted Kubernetes workloads.
- Experience with log aggregation platforms — ELK Stack, Azure Log Analytics, or Datadog.
- Azure certifications — AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert), AZ-104, or AZ-305.
