Job Description

Accelya is looking for a Senior Engineer - Cybersecurity to play a critical role in the implementation and management of our information security strategy. This position will focus on engineering, compliance, and serving as a business security liaison. You'll work closely with various departments to ensure the security of the company's information assets and compliance with relevant regulations and standards in our Hyderabad, Telangana, India office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Security Architecture and Engineering:

  • Maintain and implement the security architecture framework to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information assets.
  • Oversee the implementation of security solutions, including network security, endpoint security, and cloud security.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into system and application development.
  • Perform regular scans for PCI compliance.
  • Perform regular follow-up with other teams, share periodical reports related to vulnerabilities, and follow up to closure. Perform required PCI scans.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Participate and conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and coordinate responses to security incidents.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience with at least 1 year of experience in information security, and at least 3 years as a network engineer or software developer.
  • Strong understanding of security engineering, IT frameworks, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with risk management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of cloud security and emerging technologies (preferably AWS).
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CC, CEH, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or similar are highly desirable.
