Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Engineer to join our Automotive Graphics Customer Engineering team. In this role, you will act as a key technical interface between Qualcomm's engineering teams and IVI/ADAS automotive customers, driving issue resolution, root cause analysis, and customer success on Qualcomm-powered platforms

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support to Qualcomm IVI/ADAS automotive customers.
• Collaborate with PDM and engineering teams to address customer requirements and resolve reported issues.
• Support issues reported by customers in lab environments, drive tests, and certification processes.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of customer-reported issues and provide structured feedback to engineering teams.
• Analyse graphics performance bottlenecks and recommend solutions across QNX/Android/Hypervisor-based platforms.
• Develop and maintain debug scripts and automation tools to accelerate customer issue triage.
• Engage in on-site or remote customer support as needed to drive issue closure.
• Contribute to skill documentation, knowledge bases, and internal triage guides for the CE team.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems or graphics engineering.
• Working experience with Linux kernel device drivers, system stability, and boot architecture.
• Working experience with Android, QNX, and hypervisor-based platforms (e.g., HQX).
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Working knowledge of Java and Python (scripting, automation, data extraction).
• Familiarity with debug tools: GDB, ramdump/coredump analysis, memory profiling tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GPU architecture and Graphics / DRM kernel graphics drivers.
• Knowledge of Functional Safety (FuSa / ISO 26262) concepts for automotive-grade software.
• Familiarity with SMMU/IOMMU, ECC fault handling and automotive safety error recovery.
• Experience with CTS/VTS test suites, Vulkan conformance, and Android graphics compliance.
• Exposure to multimedia pipelines: camera, display, video encode/decode on automotive SoCs.
• Prior experience in customer-facing engineering or field application engineering roles.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  
  

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
