Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

Complete Overhead line design studies to support construction and consultancy projects.
Set up and develop Transmission line models.
Produce Electrical Line performance assessments and all electrical safety studies
Produce or utilise OHL support models within the transmission design models.
Evaluate, select, and quantify transmission line components on projects.
Support safety by design assessments throughout the design process.
Integrate and support the development of innovation within project solutions.
Create design deliverables to confirm the outputs of the engineering studies to internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure, as far as practicable, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and programme.
Keep up to date with all technical quality management procedures, developments and specifications related to the discipline work scope.

Essential:

Basic understanding of Overhead Transmission line design.
Ability to utilise PLS CADD/ Tower to develop design outputs
Awareness of key Health and Safety impacts on OHL construction contracts.
Fluent spoken and written English language.
Ability to work as part of a dispersed and remote team and be able to communicate through collaboration software such as Microsoft teams.
Post High school qualifications in engineering, or applicable related, discipline.
Ability to work maturely in a diverse team.
