Position Overview
The Senior Engineer, Chemical II in the Process Department is responsible for leading the development, design, and optimization of chemical processes to improve efficiency and safety. This position requires advanced technical expertise in chemical engineering principles, as well as the ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize chemical processes for production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct feasibility studies and process simulations to evaluate new technologies and methodologies.
- Collaborate with research and development teams to implement new chemical formulations and processes.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in all project activities.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff in process engineering best practices.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for process-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in chemical process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of chemical engineering software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
