General Summary
Experience: 3-6 Years
- Knowledge of Boot framework, Strong handson experience in embedded firmware / bootloader development.
- Familiarity with parallel-processing concepts such as threads, signals, priorities, semaphores, mutexes, race-conditions, deadlocks, etc.
- Experience with Qualcomm MSM and AMSS development, ARM architecture (CPU boot flows, MMU, Caches, exceptions, Multicore bringup) and software development
- C or C++ programming skills
- Understanding of build systems, linkage, and binary formats (e.g., ELF)
- Experience debugging lowlevel software using JTAG, ICE, trace, and logs.
- Exposure to secure boot concepts, authentication flows, and trusted firmware interaction is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git, Gerrit and/or Perforce
- Prior experience in bootloaders, open source bootloader firmware, or early platform software is highly plus.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to function efficiently both independently and in a team environment
- Mentoring and Coaching - The ability to develop, coach, and mentor associates.
- Self-motivated, perpetual learner with time-management skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
