- This role will be part of a global DWS Tech Control Room, which plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's IT and operational environments. This position is responsible for monitoring, managing, and responding to incidents, problems, and changes, while also supporting governance activities such as performance reporting and KPI creation. This role demands strong communication skills, as it involves drafting and sending communication emails to senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization. Shift work is required to ensure round-the-clock coverage.
- You will work in close collaboration with the Client Service Manager, Development and cross functional teams during incident, change and problem management across all DWS applications to ensure clear communication, maximum platform stability and high level of service delivery.

Your skills and experience
- Incident Management: Proactively monitor systems, identify and respond to incidents, escalate issues as per defined procedures, and ensure timely resolution. Strong understanding of

- Incident Prioritization & Categorization
- Impact & Urgency Assessment
- Problem Management: Analyse recurring incidents to identify root causes, collaborate with relevant teams to implement permanent solutions, drive problem management calls to facilitate resolution, and document learnings.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Post incident reviews
- Problem Investigation & Trend Analysis
- Change Management: Support the planning, communication, and execution of changes in the IT environment, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Governance Support: Assist in creating, maintaining, and analysing performance reports and KPIs, providing actionable insights to management.
- Service Reporting & Dashboarding
- IT Operations Control: Monitor jobs, infrastructure performance, and system stability across 24x7 operations.
- Communication: Draft clear, concise, and professional emails and notifications for senior management across organisation regarding incidents, changes, and performance updates.
- Shift Work: Operate in rotational shifts to provide extended US hours coverage and maintain operational continuity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technology, operations, and other relevant teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incident, problem, change, Knowledge and governance activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Prior experience in a control room, command centre, or IT operations environment is an advantage.
- Experience with incident, problem, change and knowledge management tools and processes.
- Proficiency in creating performance reports and analysing KPIs.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow governance and compliance protocols.
- Experience in ServiceNow, tableau
- Strong understanding of ITIL knowledge/ certifications
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with using UNIX, Linux, Wintel, Perl/Shell scripting, as well as ability to write SQL to extract data in Sybase and Oracle databases.
- SQL/PLSQL: Good skills in writing SQL queries, identify long running queries, locks, issues on database
- Experience of Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Geneos, New Relic, Grafana
- Experience of Scheduling tools such as Control-M (preferred)
- Exposure to any cloud platforms (GCP preferred) would be advantageous
- Ability to work in shifts, including US late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
