Role Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in sheet metal design, GD&T, and CAD modeling. The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining mechanical designs, drawings, and engineering documentation while ensuring compliance with design standards and manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies.
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation using SolidWorks.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and compliance with design standards.
- Support product development, design modifications, and engineering change activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and product engineering.
- Maintain design data and documentation within PLM systems.
- Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Must-Have Skills
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Hands-on experience in Sheet Metal Design.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling and drafting.
- Strong working experience with SolidWorks.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing requirements.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Enovia or other PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product development lifecycle.
- Exposure to engineering change management processes.
Educational Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
