Job Summary

A manufacturing engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of high-quality products, by analyzing current operations, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to streamline workflows, minimize waste, and maximize output while adhering to safety and quality standards; often collaborating with other engineers, technicians, and production teams to achieve production goals

• Implementing lean manufacturing principles to streamline production.

• Equipment Selection and Maintenance:

• Selecting and specifying new manufacturing equipment based on production needs.

• Overseeing the installation and maintenance of production machinery.

• Solving equipment malfunctions and coordinating repairs.

• Quality Control:
• 
  
• Establishing and maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

• Implementing quality control procedures and monitoring product quality metrics.

• Investigating and resolving quality issues.

• Cost Optimization:

• Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures in the manufacturing process.

• Analyzing production costs and identifying areas for reduction.

• Managing inventory levels to minimize carrying costs

• Project Management:

• Leading and managing manufacturing engineering projects from conception to implementation.

• Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.

• Automation and Robotics:

• Evaluating the potential for automation and robotics in manufacturing processes.

• Designing and implementing automated systems to enhance production efficiency.
