Position Summary:
Manufacturing Systems Engineering is responsible to set new processes which are starting from layout planning, process planning, RFQ preparation, Technical discussion with suppliers, PR creation, drawing approvals, trials at supplier end, machine inspection and receipt of equipment, machine installation and commissioning, trials, production handover and support for production ramp-up and wear parts procurement and continuous improvements.

Responsibilities
- Reviewing engineering drawings and planning the assembly process for the engine assembly line.
- Conducting capacity and cycle time studies.
- Managing the pre-production preparation process (including process conceptualization, evaluation, automation implementation, Poka-Yoke systems, and interlocks).
- Preparing Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and conducting technical discussions with suppliers.
- Performing technical comparisons, preparing Purchase Requests, and following up on Purchase Order (PO) release.
- Approving machine designs, following up on development, and conducting machine proving trials at the supplier's location.
- Conducting machine and assembly line proving trials at Royal Enfield.
- Verifying capacity, cycle time, and process parameters against the designed process.
- Ensuring the stabilization and ramp-up of new models.
- Addressing machine breakdowns and implementing improvements during the proving stage.
- Resolving Quality Non-Conformance (NC) points and implementing assembly process improvements during the proving stage.
- Ensuring the closure of safety-related issues.
- Maintaining IMS (Integrated Management System) documentation.
- Driving initiatives in Digitization, IoT (Internet of Things), PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming, and Robot programming.
