The Team

Capability Hubs (CH) is a mature set of cross-functional capabilities that enable the go-to-market agenda, corporate functions and engagement support teams of KPMG firms.

Led by an experienced leadership team across six locations in India (Gurugram, Bengaluru, Kochi, Pune, Hyderabad and Noida) and supported by seasoned professionals with deep domain expertise, CH is dedicated to delivering value and achieving business outcomes.

Working closely with KPMG firms, which leverage our teams for enablement across functions such as Insights & Risk management, Sales Enablement, Digital Experience & Business Services, Technology Services and Transformation, CH forms an integral part of KGS strategy to innovate, build, scale and improve profitability.

Role Overview

The Senior Azure Integration Platform Engineer is responsible for the operational reliability, performance, and optimisation of the Azure Integration Services (AIS) platform in enterprise environments. The role operates with significant autonomy, providing advanced technical support, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring platform services meet agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Operations & Engineering

Operate, maintain, and optimise Azure Integration Services, including:

  • Logic Apps (Consumption & Standard)
  • API Management
  • Service Bus, Event Grid
  • Azure Functions

Ensure platform stability, availability, scalability, and performance

Apply patches, upgrades, and platform updates in line with operational standards

Monitoring, Reliability & Incident Management

Monitor platform health and capacity using:

  • Azure Monitor
  • Application Insights
  • Log Analytics

Respond to and resolve platform-level incidents, including throttling, outages, and Azure service issues

Lead troubleshooting of complex integration and connectivity issues

Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement actions

Participation in 24x7 rotational shift or on-call support, depending on business needs

Support for planned maintenance and platform upgrades

Cloud Infrastructure, Security & Governance

  • Maintain Azure resource groups, policies, RBAC, and Key Vaults
  • Support secure networking configurations including:
  • VNETs, subnets, NSGs
  • Private endpoints
  • Ensure platform configurations comply with security, governance, and audit standards

API Management & Integration Services

  • Manage API Management gateways, tiers, configurations, quotas, and diagnostics
  • Support integration performance tuning and reliability improvements
  • Review and validate platform changes to minimise operational risk

Reporting, Cost Awareness & Optimisation

  • Maintain operational dashboards and service reporting
  • Support Azure cost monitoring and optimisation activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead

Knowledge Sharing & Technical Guidance

  • Guide and support junior engineers in day-to-day platform operations
  • Review changes, deployments, and operational procedures
  • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational standards

Qualifications

Experience Profile

57 years of experience in Azure integration and cloud platform operations

Proven experience supporting production, business-critical platforms

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services
  • Solid knowledge of Azure networking, security, and governance
  • Experience supporting production platforms and handling incidents and outages
  • Proficiency with monitoring, alerting, and incident management tools

Desirable

  • Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Developer (AZ-204) certification
  • Experience with cost management and optimisation in Azure
  • Familiarity with ITIL-aligned operational processes
