The Opportunity

The Senior Engagement and Admissions Specialist will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional student experience by managing the end-to-end admissions and engagement journey for prospective students. Working on behalf of Acumen's strategic university partners, the role will focus on student services, engagement, admissions coordination, and stakeholder management to ensure a seamless and high-quality applicant experience.

This is a highly client-facing role that requires continuous coordination with students, parents, university partners, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and relationship management skills, a student-first mindset, and the ability to manage multiple student interactions while ensuring operational excellence and service quality.

Role Summary :

Key Responsibilities

Student Services & Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for prospective students throughout their admissions and onboarding journey.
  • Deliver a seamless and high-quality student experience by providing timely guidance, support and issue resolution.
  • Conduct phone consultations with students to understand their academic background, interests and study abroad aspirations.
  • Build strong relationships with students through regular engagement, structured follow-ups, and proactive communication.
  • Ensure students remain informed and supported at every stage of the admissions process.
  • Track student progress and follow up on pending documents, applications, and enrolment-related activities.
  • Address student and parent queries related to admissions, onboarding, documentation, and university policies with professionalism and empathy.
  • Support onboarding activities and ensure a smooth transition from application to enrolment.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with university partners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of admissions and student engagement activities.
  • Maintain continuous communication with clients regarding student status updates, application progress, and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with admissions, operations and academic teams to enhance the student experience and improve service quality.
  • Represent partner universities at recruitment events, fairs, webinars and outreach activities when required.

Admissions Operations & Reporting

  • Manage and maintain accurate student records, application data, and engagement activities within CRM systems.
  • Ensure timely updates and proper documentation after every student interaction.
  • Monitor admissions pipelines and conversion metrics to support enrolment goals.
  • Work across CRM platforms, student management systems and operational tools to support admissions processes efficiently.
  • Ensure adherence to university policies, admissions procedures, compliance standards and internal SOPs.
  • Process applications and related documentation within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, International Relations, Mass Communication, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in student services, admissions counselling, student engagement, customer success, or client-facing roles within the education or ed-tech sector.
  • Experience managing student interactions, admissions coordination and CRM-based workflows is preferred.
  • Prior experience in international education or university partnerships will be an advantage.
