Role Description
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our clients engineering team as a Senior Embedded Linux Camera Driver Engineer, responsible for developing and owning the end-to-end camera software stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end camera sensor bring-up using MIPI CSI-2 interface
- Design and develop camera device drivers on Embedded Linux platforms
- Work extensively with V4L2 and Media Controller frameworks
- Integrate camera subsystems with ISP and multimedia pipelines
- Perform low-level debugging using I2C tools, logic analyzers, and kernel logs
- Collaborate with hardware and system teams for board bring-up and validation
- Ensure performance optimization across kernel and user-space components
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Embedded Systems development
- Strong programming expertise in C (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience in Embedded Linux / BSP development
- Proven experience in camera driver development and imaging pipelines
- Solid understanding of hardware interfaces: I2C, SPI, GPIO, UART
- Experience working with Yocto-based build systems
- Strong debugging skills at kernel and hardware interaction levels
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated ability to own and deliver complex modules independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Prior experience in camera or multimedia domain is highly preferred
- Candidates must have practical, hands-on experience working with real hardware systems
