Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer with strong experience in Embedded C, TI and Silicon Labs platforms, and IEEE 802.15.4 communications, especially Wi-SUN FAN. The role involves firmware design, integration, debugging, and validation for communication-centric smart metering products.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware in C for communication-focused products

· Work on firmware for TI and Silicon Labs-based platforms

· Develop and enhance features related to IEEE 802.15.4 and Wi-SUN FAN

· Implement and debug UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO, timers, DMA, and related peripherals

· Support board bring-up, hardware-software integration, and protocol stack debugging

· Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and system teams on design, validation, and release readiness

Must-Have Skills

· Strong programming skills in Embedded C

· Hands-on experience with TI and/or Silicon Labs chipsets

· Good understanding of IEEE 802.15.4 and Wi-SUN FAN

· Experience in board bring-up and low-level firmware debugging

· Familiarity with tools such as J-Link, GDB, Wireshark, or equivalent

Good-to-Have Skills

· Experience in smart metering, utility communications, or industrial IoT

· Exposure to RTOS environments such as FreeRTOS, ThreadX, or RIOT

· Familiarity with Wi-SUN HAN, routing, scheduling, and synchronization concepts

· Experience with static analysis, linting, structured testing, and Git-based workflows
