MRM Procom has over 20 years of experience designing and manufacturing intelligent devices and power distribution systems—including electricity meters, diesel generator controllers, protection relays, and AC/DC distribution boards (ACDB/DCDB) and control panels—for Power Generation & Distribution. Our products are trusted by leading companies including Jio, Airtel, Havells, Mahindra & Mahindra, BSES, and Delta, with more than 1 million devices active in the field.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Panel Design Engineer to lead the design of our power distribution and control panels. You will own panel design end-to-end—from concept and drawings through component selection and production release—while driving cost optimization, ensuring quality and compliance, engaging with customers, and mentoring junior engineers.

• Lead the complete electrical design of panels—single-line diagrams (SLD), general arrangement (GA) drawings, busbar layouts, and wiring schematics—from concept to production release.
• Perform key design calculations (busbar sizing, short-circuit withstand, thermal) and select switchgear and components (MCBs, MCCBs, ACBs, contactors, relays).
• Optimize designs to reduce cost while maintaining quality, reliability, and compliance.
• Coordinate with production to ensure manufacturability and a smooth design-to-production handover.
• Work with the Quality team to ensure compliance with relevant standards (IS/IEC 61439) and to resolve field and production issues.
• Interact with customers on technical requirements, design approvals, and queries.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation.
• Guide and mentor junior design engineers and conduct design reviews.

• 7+ years of experience in electrical panel / switchgear design.
• Strong knowledge of panel design fundamentals—busbar sizing, fault current, thermal design, and IP ratings.
• Familiarity with relevant standards (IS/IEC 61439, IEC 60947).
• Proficiency with electrical design software (AutoCAD).
• Experience selecting switchgear and components, and optimizing design cost.
• Experience coordinating with production teams.
• B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.

• Experience with ACDB/DCDB and telecom power distribution panels.
• Experience coordinating type testing and certification (CPRI / ERDA).
• 3D mechanical drawing skills (SolidWorks).
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, die / mould fabrication, and mechanical fabrication.
• Experience in an electronics or switchgear manufacturing company in the Faridabad / NCR region.
