As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:
Lead end-to-end embedded hardware system architecture and design
Serve as the technical authority for hardware decisions, trade-offs, and risk management
Conduct architecture reviews, design reviews, and failure analysis sessions
Design and review:
Schematic designs (MCUs, power, analog/digital circuits)
High-speed interfaces (Ethernet, USB, LVDS, MIPI, DDR)
Power management and low-power designs < 200W
Oversee PCB design, layout constraints, stackups, and signal integrity
Collaborate with PCB layout, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
Support board bring-up, debugging, and validation
Work closely with firmware, software, and systems engineering teams
Define hardware-software interfaces and system requirements
Define and execute hardware test plans and validation strategies
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards:
EMI/EMC, safety, environmental (CE, FCC, UL, RoHS)
Lead root cause analysis, design corrections, and continuous improvement
Engage with suppliers, component vendors, and contract manufacturers
Handle BOM optimization, obsolescence management, and cost reduction
Investigate the impact of proposed alternate sources for electronic components.
Contribute technical insight towards DFMEA analysis of new and existing electrical designs.
Perform advanced circuit analysis, validation, and optimization using simulation tools like PSpice.
Experience / Qualifications
12+ years of professional experience with a BS in Electrical Engineering, or 8+ years with an MS in Electrical Engineering.
Proven expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
Power supply design experience.
Extensive experience in embedded system architecture and development.
Strong understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and signal integrity principles.
Ability and willingness to travel overseas to support Productivity events and project implementation (including, but not limited to: China, Mexico, Poland, Netherlands, Spain and India)
Ability to mentor and train junior engineers
The following would be preferred:
Proficiency in circuit simulation tools such as PSpice.
Microcontrollers and processors
Analog and digital circuit design
Power electronics and signal integrity
Proficiency with EDA tools (Altium, Cadence, OrCAD, KiCad, etc.)
Experience with lab tools: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers
Understanding of embedded firmware basics (C/C++, bootloaders, drivers)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFA principles
