Job Description
- Lead product transfer activities from development into manufacturing operations.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), sustaining engineering, and production ramp-up activities.
- Drive root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, yield, and cost performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, engineering changes, BOMs, validation plans, and manufacturing procedures.
- Support electrical design activities including schematics, PCBAs, component selection, and design-for-manufacturability reviews.
- Coordinate testing, verification, and validation activities for both electrical and embedded systems.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure successful product deployment.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in product engineering, NPI, manufacturing engineering, or sustaining engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, circuit theory, and PCBA manufacturing processes.
- Experience with embedded systems integration, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, or Ethernet.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of engineering methodologies including FMEA, DOE, 8D, 5 Whys, and root cause analysis.
- Understanding of engineering change management, BOM structures, and product lifecycle processes.
- Experience working within highly regulated manufacturing industries is advantageous.
- Exposure to FPGA technologies, LabVIEW, Python, SAP, or PLM systems will be beneficial.
