Job Description

Company Description Procyon TechSolutions is a pioneer in Test & Measurement and Industrial Automation, with deep expertise in NI LabVIEW-based automation projects and services. The company designs and develops automated test equipment (ATE) for PCB functional testing, serving electronics board manufacturers as well as customers in the automotive, electrical, and medical sectors. The software interfaces seamlessly with PLC, SCADA, LabVIEW, and other industrial systems to acquire live data and automate reporting and alerts. Procyon also leads the development of automated assembly lines with end-of-line (EOL) test systems for motor manufacturing, battery manufacturing, and lighting system assembly.

Role Description

  • This is a full-time, on-site Senior Electrical Design Engineer role based in Bengaluru.
  • The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and reviewing electrical systems and schematics for automated test equipment, industrial automation solutions, and assembly lines.
  • Responsibilities include selecting electrical components, defining power distribution schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and preparing detailed design documentation and BOMs.
  • The role involves collaborating closely with mechanical, software, and project engineering teams to integrate electrical designs into complete systems.
  • The engineer will also diagnose and resolve electrical issues, optimize system performance, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement of design practices and standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, including understanding of electrical principles and industrial power systems.
  • Proficiency in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for industrial automation, test systems, and control panels.
  • Experience with protection systems, and safety standards for industrial environments.
  • Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using EPLAN tool.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA, or LabVIEW-based systems and integration with electrical hardware is highly beneficial.
  • Proven experience in leading projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently.
