Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Power Supply)

THE COMPANY

Our Client is a renowned organisation in the Semiconductor industry with a strong presence worldwide. They are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer as part of their expansion plans in Singapore, reporting to the R&D Engineering Manager.

THE ROLE

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for:

• Lead the design and development of AC-DC, DC-DC converters, isolated and non-isolated topologies
• Perform schematic design, PCB layout guidance, and component selection for power electronics systems.
• Conduct simulation and modelling (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent) to validate design concepts.
• Oversee prototype build, testing, and validation of designs against performance, safety, and reliability requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical design, with a strong focus on SMPS development.
• Proven expertise in topologies such as flyback, forward, buck, boost, half-bridge, full-bridge, LLC resonant converters.
• Strong knowledge of magnetics design (transformers, inductors) and thermal management.
