Commodities Exposure: LV & MV Switchgear, Air Cooled Chillers (ACC), Generators, Transformers, busbars, Busducts, Busways and ATS etc.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Able to study the drawings and understand the product design requirements.
- Knowledge of Design, Manufacturing, Testing and Costing Estimation of complete Electrical systems & subsystems, busbar w.r.t. application requirement.
- Will be responsible for Value Analysis & Value Engineering and drive cost improvement in close collaboration with Engineering on product cost.
- Idea generation, verification and validation
- Perform electrical and thermal analysis/calculations/validation in line with application requirement.
- Verify the impact on product performance due to proposed ideas.
- Do cost benefit analysis on the proposed ideas and prioritize the implementation / execution.
- Well versed with IEC standards for LV & MV Switchgear, Air Cooled Chillers (ACC), Generators, Transformers, busbars, Busways and ATS design.
- Knowledge of 2D & 3D modelling software like AutoCAD, Catia, & Pro E etc.
- Interaction with cross functional teams for technical discussions with vendors.
- Interact with cross functional teams for technical discussions.
- Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review
Knowledge and Skills required:
- Working experience in Electrical Design & Manufacturing process in power plant & Industrial applications.
- Exposure to electrical products MV Switchgear, Air-Cooled Chillers (ACC), Generators, Transformers, busbars, Busways and ATS, Busbar calculation & Wire Harness etc.
- Knowledge on Busbar calculations, VAVE ideas for Busbars according to design.
- Knowledge of busbar manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Testing & safety requirements according to the IEC standards & UL standards.
- Capable of manufacturing process plan creation
- Fluent in oral and written communications.
