About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Editorial Manager to own and shape high-impact serialized fiction for the US market.

This is a creative leadership role for someone who loves being at the intersection of storytelling, data, and writer development.

You'll manage premium long-form titles, work closely with top writers, and help shape stories from early traction all the way to 40H+ PPV scale and beyond.

What you'll actually do

Own a slate of stories

Manage 15–20 active titles, driving deep creative analysis, story planning, line editing, and long-arc development.

Guide stories from early momentum to scalable, high-performing IP.

Elevate stories at every stage

Strengthen pacing, clarity, character arcs, genre delivery, and long-form structure.

Build and maintain living Editorial Plans for each show — identifying problems, opportunities, and intervention strategies.

Make critical editorial calls

Own big decisions around:

• Proceed / Hold / Conclude
• Escalation vs stabilization
• Level of editorial investment needed

Bring judgment, not just execution.

Partner deeply with writers

Build strong relationships with writers and support them creatively, operationally, and strategically.

Set clear expectations around output, revisions, communication, and quality standards.

Help writers scale without burning out.

Build systems, not just stories

Create one-to-many author programs including:

• Best practice guides
• Genre frameworks
• Writer workshops
• FAQs and playbooks
• Webinars and development programs

Help build an editorial ecosystem, not just individual titles.

You'll thrive here if you

• Have 6–8+ years of senior editorial experience in publishing, audio, OTT, or serialized storytelling
• Have deep expertise in editorial analysis, revision, line and copy editing
• Understand the US content market, audience behavior, and writer ecosystem
• Have experience managing and mentoring writers across long-running projects
• Combine creative instincts with data-driven decision-making
• Communicate clearly while balancing high standards with empathy
• Enjoy both creative problem-solving and systems thinking
