Role Overview

We're hiring a Senior Editorial Manager to own high-impact serialized fiction for the US market. This is a creative leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, data, and writer mentorship.

You'll manage a slate of premium shows, partner deeply with top UGC writers, and shape long-form narratives from early hours through 40H+ PPV success, while building scalable editorial systems that support a fast-growing creator ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Own 1520 active titles, providing deep creative analysis, line & copy editing, and long-arc story planning.
• Guide stories from early traction propagation validation 40H+ PPV performance.
• Drive improvements in pacing, clarity, character arcs, genre promise delivery, and long-form structure.
• Build and maintain a living Editorial Plan for each show, including problem statements and intervention strategies.
• Make high-judgment calls on Proceed / Hold / Conclude, escalation vs stabilization, and depth of editorial investment.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with writers, providing creative, operational, and emotional support.
• Set clear expectations around throughput, revision norms, communication cadence, and responsiveness.
• Assess writer engagement, capacity, and fatigueguiding pacing, rewrites, or endings when needed.
• Develop 1-to-many author programs: best-practice guides, FAQs, genre frameworks, workshops, and webinars.

What We're Looking For

• 68+ years of senior editorial experience in publishing, audio, OTT, or high-volume serialized storytelling.
• Strong background in editorial analysis, revision, line & copy editing, and proofreading at scale.
• Deep understanding of the US content market, trends, and writer ecosystem.
• Proven experience managing and mentoring writers across long-running projects.
• Strong creative instincts paired with comfort using data to guide decisions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to balance high standards and writer empathy.
