Senior Durability Engineer

Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering

We are looking for a hands-on durability engineer with strong experience in suspension durability, vehicle-level wear and tear analysis, and fast problem-solving for automotive applications.

Preferred: Active participation in Baja Supra

Key Responsibilities

Own durability validation of suspension, chassis, bushes, joints, mounts, brackets, and CV suspension setups.

Identify failure modes related to fatigue, wear, noise, looseness, cracks, bush degradation, and field abuse.

Conduct root-cause analysis using vehicle testing, teardown inspection, FEA correlation, and field data.

Perform and review FEA for structural durability, fatigue, load-path validation, and design improvement.

Support quick service resolutions for field failures with practical, implementable fixes.

Work closely with design, testing, service, quality, and supplier teams to close durability issues.

Visit suppliers for process checks, corrective actions, part improvements, and issue closure.

Track durability issues from detection to closure with clear engineering documentation.

Must-Have Skills

Strong suspension durability experience.

Excellent understanding of bushes, joints, mounts, brackets, wear parts, and CV suspension systems.

Strong FEA capability — minimum 9/10 proficiency expected.

Hands-on automotive problem-solving mindset.

Ability to work on vehicle-level issues, not just desk analysis.

Fast response capability for service and field failures.

Supplier coordination and execution ownership.

Preferred Profile

Experience in EV, commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, or off-road/high-load applications.

Strong exposure to durability testing, road-load data, fatigue analysis, and field failure resolution.

Ability to convert field failures into design, process, or service actions quickly.
