Presented by the Alchemy team, with over 20 years of experience in education and entertainment, AAPA aims to bridge the gap in the Indian education landscape by helping passionate students build a career in performing arts from the age of 12.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Drama Teacher strictly based out of Chennai. The Drama Teacher will be responsible for teaching acting and drama, developing curriculum, and guiding students in various aspects of performing arts. The day-to-day tasks will include delivering lessons, conducting rehearsals, organising performances, creating curriculums for various institutions and attending meeting with school board members or Principals to showcase theatre curriculums, handle organisation and running of evening theatre centres. The Senior Drama Teacher will also train and collaborate with other faculty members to create a supportive and creative learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience and proficiency in Drama and Performing Arts
  • Proficiency in Spoken English and Communication.
  • Skills in Teaching Acting and Teaching in general
  • Proficiency in Curriculum Development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of various age groups
  • Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts, Drama, or a related field
  • Prior experience in teaching and mentoring students is a plus
  • Passion for the performing arts and commitment towards student growth and development
  • Has to be based out of Chennai
