Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Distribution Sales professional with 3–5 years of experience in Wealth Management, PMS, AIF, Mutual Funds, or Asset Management. The role involves expanding our distributor network, driving AUM growth, and managing relationships with IFAs, MFDs, wealth partners, and institutional distributors.

About Piper Serica- Piper Serica VC Fund, , launched in 2022, is a $40M early-stage venture capital fund managed by is Mumbai-based Piper Serica, overseeing ₹1,300 Cr in assets across PMS, offshore FPI, and angel investments. The fund targets revenue-generating tech startups in semiconductor, spacetech, AI, fintech, advanced electronics, robotics, and more, using AI-assisted screening (Yoda.ai). It is raising Bharat Tech Fund, a Rs. 800 crore fund that will continue to follow the same investment strategy with larger cheque sizes.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Lead from the front to build AuM across PMS, AIF, Advisory Products and other investment products through existing distributors and growing the distributor base on a regular basis.
  • The candidate would need to be hand-on, develop in-depth subject matter expertise with the tasks described above and contribute to the particular client segment aligned.
  • This candidate will be responsible for driving business from existing distributors, keeping them updated, managing relationship and acquiring new distributors for Piper Serica's investment products
  • Responsible for Business Development - Apply business / product / process understanding to identify opportunities to build depth in the function, move up the value chain from a complexity standpoint and work towards end to end ownership of appropriate tasks
  • Establish strong controls and relationship with existing Investor(s) and new investor(s)
  • Build up AuM (Asset under Management) over a period of engagement through right advise and proper fitment of apt investment options to the target Distributor.
  • Act as a Brand ambassador of the company at various events.
  • Continously upgrade and update with all regulatory compliance and cerufication requirement. If such certification are executed with the employment period, the organisation will re-imburse the expenses of the examination costs.

Day to Day Activities:

  • Drive own self business target
  • Drive business through leads cultivated by AVP and Directors.
  • Service existing investors, distributors, business associates and drive additional business from exisiting distirbutor and investor through Up sale and cross sale of investment products.
  • Ensure all operational requirement and process requirement are completed to on-baord Investors smoothly and seamlessly.
  • Participate active engagement with management and other stake holders to ensure business growth.

Qualification:

  • Post graduate or an equivalent professional degree with 3+ years of experience
  • Broad experience in Financial/Banking Industry and understanding of the Distirbutors life cycle and Products/Asset classes
  • Hands on multi-tasker, self directed, capable of working independently and as part of the team.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagements skills, strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities of distributor engagement and management.
  • Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters
  • Able to work independently and adaptable to work in demanding environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
  •  Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills
  • PowerPoint and Excel expertise required
