Role Overview
We are looking for a Healthcare Engineering Lead who can take ownership of delivering high-impact solutions for our global healthcare clients. This role requires a strong technology backbone, sound understanding of healthcare platforms (payer, provider, clinical, pharma, life sciences), and the maturity to lead engineering teams while interfacing with customers and internal stakeholders.
This is a leadership role not just managing delivery, but influencing outcomes, simplifying execution, and ensuring predictable results.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Leadership
- Lead end-to-end delivery for healthcare engineering engagements (product development, modernization, cloud, and data initiatives).
- Build delivery plans, sprint strategies, estimation, effort/budget planning, and risk management.
- Ensure engineering and delivery excellence zero-surprise delivery approach.
- Drive adoption of best-practice engineering principles (CI/CD, DevSecOps, automation, quality gates).
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client leadership (Directors / VPs / Product Owners).
- Translate business requirements into technical outcomes with clear documentation.
- Proactively communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to customers.
Team Leadership
- Guide engineers across backend, frontend, integration, and QA teams.
- Drive performance coaching, continuous skill upliftment, and career development.
- Maintain team discipline, cadence, and engineering hygiene.
Healthcare Domain & Compliance Awareness
- Work closely with solutioning / architecture teams to align delivery with healthcare compliance needs (HIPAA, HL7/FHIR, interoperability).
- Understand customer's business flows eligibility, claims, EHR workflows, patient/member journeys.
Required Skills
- 15+ years of total experience with at least 5+ years leading engineering teams.
- Strong hands-on background in Java / .NET / Python along with experience in:
- Microservices, API integration
- Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Data engineering exposure (preferred)
- Proven ability to run delivery in Agile/Scrum and manage sprint ceremonies.
- Experience working with onsiteoffshore models.
- Experience of Java, Python, AWS is must.
Good to Have
- Experience in building healthcare products or platforms.
- Familiarity with:
- FHIR / HL7 / EDI / Claims processing / RCM workflows / EMREHR integrations.
- Exposure to AI/ML use cases in healthcare data.
