Role Description The Senior Director of Engineering is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for leading the engineering organization that builds and maintains Education Robinhood's technology platforms. This role oversees multiple engineering teams, sets technical direction, and ensures delivery of scalable, reliable systems that support learning experiences and operational needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining engineering roadmaps, partnering with product and operations stakeholders, managing project execution, and guiding architectural decisions and integrations with third-party tools. The Senior Director will mentor engineering leaders and individual contributors, establish best practices for software development and quality, and foster a collaborative, inclusive culture aligned with the organization's mission. This role also involves monitoring performance metrics, managing budgets and resources, and driving continuous improvement in engineering processes and outcomes.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated strength in Engineering Management and Team Leadership, including building, mentoring, and scaling diverse, high-performing engineering teams.
• Extensive experience in Software Development, with a strong foundation in modern programming languages, system design, and architectural best practices.
• Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver complex initiatives on time.
• Hands-on experience with Integration of platforms and services, APIs, and data flows to create cohesive, secure, and reliable technology ecosystems.
• Proven track record in senior or director-level engineering roles, preferably in education technology or mission-driven organizations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills, with the ability to align engineering work to organizational goals.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and security and compliance standards relevant to education platforms.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
