Medline is seeking a Senior Director of IT Platforms & Security. The Senior Director of IT Platforms and Security works across the Medline enterprise to build and secure digital products, platforms and solutions that drive the greatest value and are in alignment with our business priorities. This involves guiding the strategic portfolio direction, governing portfolio's delivery and operations in India and maintaining a robust IT security posture. This role will have responsibility for all aspects IT Platforms, Data & AI, IT Infrastructure and IT Security.
Major Responsibilities
Portfolio Areas
- Working with Functional Leadership, establish, prioritize, and maintain the overall Enterprise strategies for different portfolio areas and approaches for Medline, engaging the necessary functions in alignment, co-creation, and on-going partnership. Establish new functions, capabilities in support of enterprise strategy where needed.
- Collaborate and work closely with other departments and onsite stakeholders, particularly software development, to ensure that IT Platforms & Security supports seamless integration in a secure manner between systems and applications.
- Responsible to establish and support foundational platform services that are consumed by internal and external partners. Foundational platform services include but not limited to providing seamless development experience, observability and operational support, enterprise services delivery, cost management, and common set of tools/accelerators.
- Ensure the reliability and availability of IT systems and services. This involves change management, monitoring system uptime, incident management, addressing outages promptly, and implementing redundancy and failover mechanisms to minimize downtime.
- Lead to mature Data architecture, Business Intelligence tooling and outcomes, AI adoption and Intelligent automation (RPA) practices across the organization. Responsible to work horizontally across the enterprise to collaborate and drive adoption.
- Establish, prioritize and execute information security strategies, and plans, for a comprehensive information security program. Develop and maintain robust security controls to protect organization business from security breaches/ incidents.
People Management and Team Development
- Recruit, develop and retain high caliber talent, especially for key leadership positions, and develop robust succession plans for your team.
- Evaluate team members performance, provide candid feedback and high impact coaching that enables (and motivates) them to achieve departmental as well as enterprise goals.
- Foster a transparent and inclusive workplace culture leveraging Medline's core values and success factors.
- Partner with India HR on Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, Employee engagement, departmental policies, Branding and drive alignment with department head and global IS leadership.

Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline and/or 20+ years of IT experience supporting healthcare or other relevant teams and/or Advanced Degree
Work Experience
- 20+ years of progressive Architecture, IT Operations, BI, IT Security experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the company's culturally complex organization will be required. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Exceptional strategic thought partner, ability to lead in strong co-creation and collaboration with Digital and business partners across the organization.
- Experience across multiple architecture environments and other enterprise technologies and platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to develop talent and build effective teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to directly & indirectly influence Sr. Management, key partners and stakeholders.
- Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.
- Proven data literacy the ability to describe business use cases/outcomes, data sources and management concepts, and analytical approaches/options. The ability to translate among the vocabulary used by executive, business, IT and quant stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively drive business, culture and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
- Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
