Senior Finance Director – APAC Contracts

Location: Bangalore, India

Business Line: Account Management

Reporting to: Divisional Finance Director

Key Stakeholders: Client Finance Leadership, Account Director, REMS APAC Finance, Regional Account Management Leadership, Global Finance & Functional Stakeholders

Role Objective

The Senior Finance Director – APAC Contracts is a client-based finance role and senior member of the Regional Finance Leadership team, embedded within the account structure to lead end-to-end financial management of a complex APAC client contract.

Operating from Bangalore, this role serves as the dedicated finance partner embedded within the client account team, providing direct financial leadership and commercial oversight to drive contract performance, governance, and strategic value creation. As the primary finance representative on the account, you will work in close partnership with the Account Director and Client Finance Leadership to deliver seamless financial service delivery across the APAC region.

This is a client-facing, commercially-focused finance leadership position accountable for financial performance, contract management, commercial governance, forecasting, and reporting. The role requires deep integration with account operations and client stakeholders, while maintaining strong collaboration with REMS APAC Finance and engaging global internal stakeholders on complex commercial, contractual, and cross-regional matters.

Key Responsibilities

Client-Based Strategic Business Partnering

  • Serve as the embedded finance leader within the client account team, acting as the primary finance partner to the Client and Account Director with direct accountability for financial strategy and commercial outcomes.
  • Function as the single point of financial accountability for APAC service delivery under the client contract, operating from the Bangalore hub as an integral member of the account leadership team.
  • Provide proactive strategic financial advice to support operational decisions, commercial negotiations, investment cases, and growth initiatives specific to the client relationship.
  • Lead senior-level client discussions on financial performance, forecasts, savings initiatives, contract changes, and governance, representing JLL's financial perspective directly to client stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Account Leadership and REMS APAC Finance to drive client-specific value creation, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and continuous performance improvement.
  • Build and maintain trusted, collaborative relationships with client finance teams and operational leaders, positioning finance as a strategic enabler of client success.

Commercial & Contract Management (Client-Focused)

  • Own the commercial governance of the APAC client contract, ensuring full compliance with contractual, financial, and commercial obligations while protecting both client and JLL interests.
  • Lead contract change control processes (CCNs), scope changes, pricing adjustments, and policy updates specific to the client agreement, ensuring commercial integrity and timely execution.
  • Provide financial leadership for commercial negotiations, contract renewals, extensions, and service expansions, working directly with client stakeholders and account teams.
  • Escalate and resolve complex commercial or contractual issues in collaboration with Account Leadership, REMS APAC Finance, and global stakeholders as needed.
  • Chair or co-lead Commercial, Governance, and Annual Review Meetings with the client, ensuring transparent communication, strong financial controls, and alignment on performance expectations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Matrix Partnership

  • Engage with APAC/ Global internal stakeholders (Global Finance, Legal, Risk, Commercial, Corporate Functions) on an as-needed basis to resolve escalations, align on governance standards, and manage complex regional or cross-border issues.
  • Maintain seamless collaboration with REMS APAC Finance to ensure consistency in financial operations, reporting standards, and regional governance frameworks.
  • Build strong working relationships across JLL's matrix organization to ensure effective issue resolution, knowledge sharing, and alignment on client delivery excellence.

People Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide leadership and development to a multi-country in-account Finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, high performance, and client service excellence.
  • Operate effectively within a matrix environment, partnering with regional and global finance leadership on governance, talent development, capability building, and best practice sharing.
  • Represent account finance in regional and global forums as required, contributing to continuous improvement and thought leadership.
