About The Team And The Role
The Industrial Design team at Ather is responsible for ushering the Indian EV movement forward by building products from scratch, translating moonshot ideas into reality, and defining the visual story of our vehicles.
This role is for a Senior Digital Designer who will be aligned with Digital Sculpting, focusing on bridging the gap between design intent and engineering reality through high-quality 3D modeling and process innovation.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and translate design intent into high-quality 3D models using Autodesk Alias in collaboration with Engineering.
- Build and develop the digital and visualization process pipeline by introducing new tools and methods.
- Manage CAS and Class A outsourcing activities to ensure the delivery of quality outputs.
- Collaborate with clay modelers to understand volumes and provide effective design solutions.
Experience And Qualifications
- Any Educational qualification to support experience in Industrial design.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in an Industrial design team developing products from concept to production.
Must Have Competencies
- 3D surface modeling using Autodesk Alias.
- Development of digital design and visualization process pipelines.
- Management of CAS and Class A outsourcing and quality deliverables.
- Integration of design intent with engineering requirements through 3D modeling.
Good to Have Competencies
- Generative modeling using tools like Alias Dynamo or Grasshopper.
- Application of digital design principles within the transportation or product design fields.
- Technical solutioning for volume and form in collaboration with physical modelers.
- Implementation of new digital tools and methodologies to optimize design workflows.
