Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Role Overview

TheSenior DevSecOps Engineerplays a critical role in ensuring infrastructure resilience, secure software delivery, and operational excellence across the organization. This position acts as a strategic bridge betweenengineering, operations, and security-driving resilience initiatives, disaster recovery readiness, and continuous improvement of DevSecOps practices.

The role demands a seasoned professional with hands-on expertise ininfrastructure management, DR & IT resilience planning, backup and recovery validation, and a strong ability to coordinate cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor toIT Owners, Product Owners, and Service Delivery Managers, ensuring technology services are secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Resilience

• Drive the design and execution ofdisaster recovery (DR) strategies, including backup, recovery testing, and high-availability configurations.
• Maintain and improveinfrastructure resilience, ensuring rapid and secure system restoration during incidents.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure DR plans aretested, documented, and meet business RTO/RPO requirements.
• Supportservice continuity and operational excellencein partnership with Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) and Operations teams.

DevSecOps Practices & Tools

• LeadDevSecOps tool evaluations, pilots, and implementations to enhance automation, observability, and security posture.
• Provide guidance and establishstandards for secure SDLC and DevSecOps practicesacross engineering teams.
• Work oncross-functional initiativesthat strengthen security integration in CI/CD pipelines.

Collaboration & Governance

• Act as aliaison between the DevSecOps teamand other key teams such asCSO(chief security office), IAM(Identity and Access management), ITSCM(IT Service Continuity Management), and ServiceNow(SNOW).
• Collaborate withIT Owners and Product Ownersto support process-related initiatives and ensure compliance with resilience and security frameworks.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to drive alignment between infrastructure, resilience, and delivery goals.
• Maintain comprehensivedocumentationand promote knowledge sharing across teams to enhance organizational maturity.

Incident Management & Continuous Improvement

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the overallIT landscapeto identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in collaboration with various teams.
• Contribute topost-incident reviews, ensuring lessons learned are translated into process and tooling improvements.
• Champion automation, observability, and resilience metrics to continuously optimize IT service performance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience:Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in Infrastructure, DevOps, or DevSecOps roles (4+ years).
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge ofcloud platforms(Azure preferred) and hybrid architectures (on-premises and cloud infra) with hands-on in Linux & Win platforms.
• Experience withCI/CD tools(GitLab, Azure DevOps),automation frameworks(Terraform, Ansible), and good to have security integration tools (SonarQube, NexusIQ, Snyk, etc.).
• Proven experience inDR planning, backup/recovery, andIT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM).
• Familiarity withSDLC processes,risk management frameworks, andsecurity standards.
• Scripting and automation proficiency (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business domains.
• Excellent documentation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
