Role Summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating reliable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platforms. This role owns production reliability and on‑call response, leads incident response, and partners closely with engineering teams to improve delivery velocity and system resilience.

The Senior DevOps Engineer also mentors junior engineers and drives SRE practices across services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize AWS infrastructure using Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines with integrated quality, security, and reliability checks
• Actively participate in and lead on-call rotations, incident response, and root cause analysis
• Define and track SLIs and SLOs in collaboration with product teams
• Improve observability through metrics, logs, and alerts (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch)
• Manage container platforms (ECS/EKS) and mixed workloads
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and scaling strategies
• Integrate DevSecOps tooling (SAST, DAST, image scanning) into pipelines
• Reduce operational toil through automation and tooling
• Mentor DevOps Engineers and review infrastructure and pipeline changes
• Maintain high-quality documentation and runbooks

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-6 years of hands-on DevOps / SRE experience
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture
• Deep experience with IaC and CI/CD systems
• Strong production troubleshooting and incident management skills
• Experience working with SRE concepts (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash)
• Comfortable owning production reliability and on-call responsibilities
