About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in managing and upgrading AWS EKS clusters and overseeing the full lifecycle of Kubernetes infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our cloud-native workloads. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, understands the nuances of EKS upgrades, and is comfortable managing large-scale containerized environments and building pipelines in Jenkins.
Key Responsibilities:
Upgrade and maintain AWS EKS clusters, ensuring minimal downtime and full compatibility with workloads.
Manage Kubernetes cluster lifecycle: provisioning, scaling, patching, and decommissioning.
Develop and maintain Helm charts.
Monitor systems and respond to incidents using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
Automate infrastructure using Terraform.
Ensure secure configurations of workloads, clusters, and underlying infrastructure.
Collaborate with development and SRE teams to design scalable, resilient systems.
Document upgrade plans, rollback procedures, and cluster changes for audit and transparency.
Design, build, and maintain Jenkins pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Jenkins pipelines
Experience with Jenkins integrations for Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Git.
Managing Security tools like DLP, MDM and Antivirus.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in a DevOps role with strong focus on Kubernetes and docker
Proven experience in EKS cluster upgrades and Kubernetes version migrations.
Strong knowledge of AWS services (VPC, IAM, ALB/NLB, Route 53, etc.).
Proficient in Helm, kubectl , and YAML configuration management.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git hub action, Jenkins, Argo CD.
Proficient in scripting languages like Bash and Python.
Solid understanding of container security, TLS/SSL, and secrets management
(AWS Secrets Manager).
Design, build, and maintain Jenkins pipelines for automated build, test, and
deployment workflows.
Integrate Jenkins with Git, Kubernetes, and container registries for seamless CI/CD.
Hands on tools for DLP, MDM and Antivirus.ips: Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.
