About The Role
Humigent is an AI-native analytics company helping pharma and life sciences organizations unlock the value of their commercial and medical data. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will scale and operate our multi-cloud infrastructure supporting product engineering, client delivery, security, and developer productivity. You will work across AWS and Azure, CI/CD systems, infrastructure-as-code, platform governance, identity and security controls, and shared engineering tooling — collaborating with Engineering, Security, Product, and Delivery to keep infrastructure scalable, reproducible, and secure.
What You'll Own
Cloud Infrastructure
- Build, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
- Design and maintain scalable multi-account AWS environments.
- Manage shared services including networking, databases, caching, DNS, and KMS.
- Develop reusable infrastructure modules using Terraform and support multi-environment deployments across Dev, QA, and Production.
CI/CD & Automation
- Build and maintain reusable GitHub Actions workflows and deployment pipelines.
- Implement automated build, test, release, and deployment systems.
- Support Docker-based application delivery pipelines.
- Enable semantic versioning and release automation and drive org-wide CI/CD standardization and developer enablement.
Security & Governance
- Implement least-privilege IAM and cloud governance controls.
- Maintain secure OIDC-based workload identity federation.
- Support audit logging, compliance evidence collection, and governance automation.
- Enforce infrastructure and pipeline security standards.
Developer Experience & Enablement
- Build self-service platform capabilities for engineering teams.
- Improve developer workflows, pre-commit tooling, and code quality automation.
- Maintain internal platform standards and engineering best practices.
- Support trunk-based development and modern release management.
Reliability & Operations
- Monitor infrastructure health, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and deployment issues.
- Implement backup, failover, and disaster recovery practices.
- Support highly available production systems and shared services.
What You Bring
- 6–9 years of hands-on DevOps or Platform Engineering experience in a product or SaaS engineering environment
- Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure; experience with Azure cloud services and deployments
- Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Strong Linux and scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Experience with IAM, RBAC, ABAC and cloud security best practices
- Knowledge of networking, DNS, VPCs, load balancing, and cloud architecture
- Understanding of OIDC federation and credential-less deployment patterns
- Strong systems thinking and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, HIPAA, or enterprise compliance environments
- Experience building internal developer platforms from scratch
- Experience operating multi-tenant or enterprise SaaS environments
- Familiarity with identity platforms and authentication patterns (JWT,RS256, RBAC, MFA, Casbin)
- Familiarity with Snowflake or other modern data platforms
- Kubernetes experience
- Experience in pharma tech, life sciences, or health data products
