Position: DevOps Engineer (Production Systems)

About the Role

We're hiring a DevOps-focused Software Engineer to support and improve production systems for a large-scale, real-world environment. This role is hands-on and code-first — you'll own production issues from identification through resolution, build automation that eliminates operational toil, and leverage AI tools to accelerate DevOps workflows. We're actively automating DevOps operations, and we need someone with strong engineering aptitude, sharp problem-solving instincts, and the ability to use AI at its best to write smarter, faster automation. Key Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and deploy code to resolve production defects in Python, Java, or C#.
• Analyze application and system issues by reviewing logs, metrics, and database queries.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable deployments.
• Automate repetitive operational and DevOps tasks using scripting, tooling, and AI-assisted development.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability through targeted engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement long-term fixes and architectural improvements.
• Support production releases, including troubleshooting failed deployments and rollbacks.
• Track and manage issues via ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution and clear documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C#.
• Proven experience debugging and resolving production issues at the code level.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
• Experience working with APIs, SQL databases, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools.
• Strong aptitude for problem-solving and ability to pick up new tools and technologies quickly.
• Comfortable using AI tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) to write, review, and optimize code.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog or Dynatrace.
