Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the modernization, optimization, and governance of our software delivery ecosystem. This role will be responsible for evaluating and improving existing DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, deployment practices, cloud operations, and engineering standards across the organization. The ideal candidate will act as both a technical leader and an engineering governance partner, ensuring that software is delivered securely, reliably, efficiently, and at scale. This individual will work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, AI, and Product teams to drive DevOps maturity while introducing modern practices that support cloud-native development, AI-powered engineering, and platform automation. This is a highly visible role that will influence how software is built, reviewed, deployed, monitored, and operated across the organization.Key Responsibilities DevOps Strategy & Modernization
Assess current DevOps capabilities, processes, and tooling across all engineering teams.
Develop and execute a roadmap to improve DevOps maturity, reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.
Standardize CI/CD pipelines, deployment methodologies, release processes, and operational practices.
Introduce modern DevOps and Platform Engineering principles across the organization.
Establish engineering standards, deployment controls, and operational governance.
CI/CD & Release Management
Design, implement, and optimize automated build, test, deployment, and release pipelines.
Improve deployment frequency while reducing change failure rates.
Establish release quality gates and automated validation mechanisms.
Implement deployment strategies such as Blue-Green, Canary, Rolling, and Progressive Delivery.
Create deployment metrics and reporting to measure release quality and operational efficiency.
Code Review & Engineering Governance
Review pull requests and deployment plans for adherence to engineering, security, and architectural standards.
Develop automated controls to improve code quality and deployment readiness.
Create dashboards and reports that provide visibility into:
Pull request quality
Code review effectiveness
Deployment success rates
Lead time for changes
Change failure rates
Developer productivity trends
Partner with engineering leadership to continuously improve development practices.
Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering
Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
Improve cloud architecture, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Drive automation across provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and incident response.
Ensure environments are consistent, repeatable, and auditable.
Optimize cloud utilization and operational costs.
Security & Compliance
Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
Implement DevSecOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Security teams to automate vulnerability management and remediation processes.
Establish deployment governance and approval workflows where required.
AI-Powered Engineering & Automation
Evaluate and implement AI-driven engineering tools that improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive engineering and operational tasks using AI technologies.
Establish standards for responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.
Implement intelligent deployment validation, anomaly detection, and operational insights.
Support the organization's broader AI engineering initiatives and platform modernization efforts.
Observability & Reliability Engineering
Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities.
Establish service health, availability, and performance metrics.
Drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices where appropriate.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
Define and track operational KPIs and SLAs.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
Strong experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Deep understanding of modern software delivery practices and release automation.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, pull request governance, and code review practices.
Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and operational analytics solutions.
Strong scripting and automation skills.
Experience working within secure software development environments.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
