Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a technical, hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer who can implement and support a world-class service to provide client's customers with an always-on, state-of-the-art, automated SaaS environment on which to build products and services.

You will be part of an innovative team building bulletproof, scalable, and secure private and public cloud environments for our customers and users. We are looking for someone who is smart, technically deep, and self-directed - an engineer with an insatiable thirst for technology who can take ownership of well-defined work, deliver it independently with high quality, and partner effectively with the broader platform and engineering organization. You will have the opportunity to drive technical excellence across our cloud-based services and platforms. The technology stack you will work on is hosted in private cloud and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with the goal of being fully in GCP, and includes the infrastructure that supports our AI-powered product features. You will conceptualize and deliver solutions in end-to-end system architecture, automated builds, deployment, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure.

Your Area of Focus

• Develop and improve our deployment processes using container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), with self-healing and security automation patterns.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code libraries and automation codebase that enforce consistency and security by default.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for microservices-based platforms running across GCP and hybrid cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain GitOps-style workflows for self-service, predictable infrastructure, and application deployments.
• Develop and maintain monitoring and observability solutions to ensure the reliability of our environments.
• Build and operate infrastructure that supports AI/ML workloads, as assigned, including model serving, accelerated compute, and related observability.

•  Support production infrastructure and services, on-premise and in the cloud.
• Identify opportunities and implement solutions to automate platform builds and processes; replace manual workflows with code-driven ones.
• Collaborate with Engineering and the rest of the Operations team to investigate, debug, and mitigate issues and outages.
• Act as an escalation and coordination point for incidents and problems related to automation and platform components you own.
• Apply software supply chain best practices in the systems you build (signed builds, dependency monitoring, secret management).

Your Professional Qualifications

• 8+ years of SRE/DevOps/Platform Engineering experience in a tech-forward, large-scale SaaS environment.
• Demonstrated track record of taking on complex technical work and delivering it independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong, hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including networking, identity, compute, and managed services.
• Expert-level experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management using Ansible.
• Strong experience with Git-based workflows and pipelines.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for microservices in hybrid cloud environments. Experience with Harness CI/CD is a plus.
• Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong programming and automation skills in modern languages such as Python or Go.
• Experience supporting GitOps-driven deployment patterns.
• Working knowledge of platform security and software supply chain best practices.
• Familiarity with healthcare or other regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, PCI DSS) is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with distributed, cross-time-zone engineering teams.
• Self-directed and proactive; comfortable managing priorities and delivering results without close supervision.
