Role Summary
We are looking for a passionate DevOps engineer to automate, optimize and manage the processes and infrastructure in the software development lifecycle. This includes ensuring the IaC is written to the high standards of quality, maintainable for future development and project milestones are delivered in a timely manner. The individual is expected to possess strong interpersonal skills with a drive for innovation.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide AWS native solutions to Infrastructure and design automations
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, Bash etc to build, maintain and optimize the infrastructure.
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipeline (preferably in Jenkins) for applications in compliance with DevOps standards, having in mind security as a best practice.
- Maintain Config admin owned tools such Nexus, Terraform, Apache, Tomcat, Ngnix etc.
- Support and maintenance - OS patching, define key and certificate rotation policies and ensuring the application is in zero down time
- Support and deliver exceptional service during change control and system updates.
- Lead initiatives with high accountability, create a collaborative environment and provide recommendations through research and review of recent industry solutions in various configuration related tools/technologies.
- Participate in a company-wide working group contributing to strategy for Enterprise needs.
- Create artifacts including the training materials and groom the team members. Serve as a trusted advisor and mentor for the team offering technical advice.
- Set priorities with the team by understanding interdependence, inspiring team members with consistent focus, quality output, and timelines.
- Communicate with precision, engaging team and stakeholders to build trust & reliable working relationships across cross-functional teams, geographies enabling organizational alignment
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field
- 4+ years of DevOps experience with atleast 3 years of experience in AWS cloud
- Proficient in scripting knowledge (Python, Groovy, Bash, etc.)
- Experience in developing and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform or other IaC tools to ensure scalability, security, and repeatability across environments
- Experience in automating and managing system configurations and application deployments using Native AWS solutions.
- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate the build, test, and deployment processes
- Experience in various monitoring tools (Elastic-Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch etc.)
- Ability to formulate a design and implementation strategy from a mix of business requirements, concept documents and verbal description
- Understanding of advanced continuous delivery methods.
- Solid foundation in internet and networking concepts including VPN
- Experience mentoring junior team members from a technical perspective
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillset

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Understanding of establishing the connectivity from outside Chinese region to Chinese region and vice versa.
- Hands-on experience in implementation with Dev(Sec)Ops Tools: Nexus, GitLab/Bitbucket, Ansible, chef, OWASP, Veracode, Sonar, Ready API etc.
- Experience with working with cloud native applications, container orchestration platforms such as Docker/ Kubernetes.
- Held the role of a critical contributor for leading major systems rollouts and deployments
- Good to have knowledge in Airline domain (Passenger and Cargo).
