Job Summary:

The Car Parking and Lift Design Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, coordination, and technical delivery of car parking systems and vertical transportation (lifts/elevators, escalators where applicable) for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and industrial developments. The role ensures compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and project requirements

while optimizing space efficiency, cost, and performance. Location: Pune (Most of time) and Kalyan sometimes. Key Responsibilities:

Parking Design

 Design and develop car parking layouts for basements, podiums, and surface parking areas.  Calculate parking capacity, ramp gradients, circulation, turning radii, and clearances etc.  Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and design reports.  Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to integrate parking solutions.  Ensure compliance with local parking regulations, fire codes, accessibility requirements, and zoning standards.  Evaluate and propose mechanical or automated parking systems where required.

Lift / Vertical Tr ansportation Design

 Plan and design lift systems including passenger, service, goods, fireman, and car lifts.  Determine lift quantities, capacities, speeds, and zoning based on traffic analysis.  Prepare lift layouts, shaft requirements, pit and headroom details.  Coordinate with lift suppliers, architects, and structural engineers.  Review shop drawings, technical submitting, and method statements.  Ensure compliance with applicable elevator codes and safety standards (e.g., EN, ISO, ASME, local authority requirements). Coordination & Project Support

 Participate in design meetings and technical reviews.  Support authority submissions and respond to regulatory comments.  Assist during construction with technical clarifications and site inspections.  Review as-built drawings and commissioning documentation.  Identify design risks and propose value-engineering solutions. Educational Qualifications

 Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Strong engineering background with good understanding of Applied Mechanics and

Strength of Materials.  8 - 10 years of relevant experience in parking and/or lift design (depending on seniority).  Strong understanding of parking design standards and vertical transportation principles. Technical Skills

 Proficiency in Catia, Solid Works and AutoCAD (Revit experience is an advantage).  Familiarity with parking analysis tools and lift traffic calculation methods.  Knowledge of local and international codes and standards.  Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings. Soft Skills

 Strong coordination and communication skills.  Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.  Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.  Client-focused and collaborative approach.

Preferred (Optional)

 Experience with automated or mechanical parking systems.  Experience working with international lift manufacturers. COMPANY PROFILE:
