Senior Designer-Packing

We are seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Senior Packaging Designer with 3-4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise inSolidWorksand a proven track record in designing innovative and functional packaging solutions acrosscorrugated, plastic, metal, and woodenmaterials. You will be responsible for transforming conceptual ideas into production-ready designs that meet client specifications, cost targets, and manufacturing feasibility.

1. Design & Development:

• Create detailed 3D models, renderings, and technical drawings for packaging structures usingSolidWorks.
• Lead the design of custom packaging solutions for corrugated (die-lines), rigid plastics, metal containers, and wooden crates/cases.
• Develop prototypes and conduct structural testing to validate design integrity, durability, and functionality.

2. Client & Project Management:

• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand client requirements and translate them into viable design concepts.
• Manage multiple design projects from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
• Present design concepts and prototypes to clients and internal stakeholders.

3. Technical Expertise & Innovation:

• Apply strong knowledge of materials (e.g., corrugated board grades, polymer types, sheet metal, timber) and manufacturing processes (e.g., die-cutting, injection molding, metal stamping, woodworking).
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with the production and quality assurance teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance to junior designers and review their work for accuracy and innovation.
• Resolve design-related issues during the production phase.
  

• Education:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Technology, or a related field.

• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in packaging design, with a focus oncorrugated, plastic, metal, and woodenmaterials.
• Proven portfolio showcasing innovative packaging designs and technical drawings.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks(including Surface Modeling, Sheet Metal, and Weldments for wooden structures).

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
