Job Description

Seeaash is seeking an exceptionally talented Senior Designer to lead the creative direction of our Indian wear collections. This is a leadership role — you will not just design, but mentor junior designers, own collection strategies, and set the aesthetic language of the brand across ethnic, bridal, festive, and fusion lines.

Monthly Salary (In Hand) -₹40,000 – ₹60,000

Working days- Monday – Saturday

About the Role :

You bring a deep understanding of Indian craft traditions, contemporary fashion sensibilities, and the ability to build collections that are both commercially viable and artistically distinct. You will be the creative backbone of our design studio.

 Key responsibilities

  • Design seasonal collections for Indian wear — sarees, lehengas, kurta sets, anarkalis, and fusion wear
  • Develop mood boards, sketches, technical flat drawings, and tech packs
  • Select fabrics, embellishments, embroidery patterns, and trims aligned with collection themes
  • Work with artisans and sampling teams to develop prototypes and refine samples
  • Research Indian and global fashion trends, craft traditions, and consumer preferences
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure design integrity from sample to final product
  • Contribute to product photography styling and catalogue presentation
  • Manage multiple design projects and meet collection deadlines

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in Indian fashion / ethnic wear product design
  • Degree or diploma in Fashion Design from a recognised institute (NIFT, Pearl Academy, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Indian textiles — silk, chanderi, georgette, banarasi, cotton, etc.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or CLO 3D
  • Understanding of embroidery techniques — zardozi, chikankari, kantha, mirror work, etc.
  • Ability to create detailed tech packs and construction specifications
  • A strong portfolio showcasing Indian wear collections (mandatory)
  • Good sense of colour, proportion, and styling for Indian silhouettes
