The Electrical Engineer role supports the design and execution of electrical systems for Oil & Gas, power, and renewable energy projects across the full asset life cycle. The position involves participation in conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed engineering, including procurement support and construction-ready deliverables for complete facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and implement client specifications along with local and international electrical standards
- Design and engineer electrical systems for industrial and energy facilities
- Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment with minimal supervision
- Develop load lists, perform load calculations, and carry out cable sizing, earthing, and lighting calculations
- Prepare cable schedules, interconnection diagrams, and single line diagrams
- Review and guide preparation of electrical layouts and designer deliverables
- Develop and review basic electrical control schematics
- Perform vendor drawing reviews for electrical equipment and mechanical packages
- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable HSE requirements
- Support FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
- Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural project environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (full-time)
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Oil & Gas, power, or industrial projects
- Strong experience across FEED and detailed engineering phases
- Working knowledge of ETAP or SPEL is an added advantage
